System Administrator
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Investigate and resolve software and hardware problems for end users through established processes and procedures (Helpdesk)
- Setup and maintain hardware and software
- Coordinate remote system administrators in different locations to solve local issues
- Work together with the team and external parties in troubleshooting/resolving outages and other incidents to ensure performance and stability
- Manage inventory
- Maintain technical documentation
- Proactively deal with monitoring alerts
REQUIREMENTS:
- Working experience as a System Administrator
- Strong administration/supporting experience of Linux/Unix OS, environment applications and services
- Good administration/supporting of MacOS and Windows
- Strong understanding of security and encryption (SSL/TLS, SSH, IPSEC, VPN)
- Strong understanding of VPN solutions (WireGuard, OpenVPN)
- Good understanding of Directory management (OpenLDAP, Apereo CAS)
- Good knowledge of at least one monitoring solution (New Relic, Zabbix or similar).
- Good knowledge of VCS and CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab)
- Good knowledge of virtualization technologies (Proxmox, LXC, Docker)
- Understanding of issue management systems
- Understanding of Web Servers (Apache, Nginx) and Web Applications (PHP, Java) architecture and its components
- Understanding of database setup and management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch)
- Good communication skills
- Good written and spoken English
